Our client asked us for a design to revive the decorative effect of old plaster ceilings. Thanks to the seamless construction with blind fixing, all installations will be concealed behind the decorative surface.

Many modern interiors feature blank, functional ceilings that hide systems but offer no visual richness. The value and detail of classic plaster ceilings have often been lost because they are difficult to maintain or integrate with modern services. As a result, ceilings often become invisible surfaces rather than part of the design narrative. We were asked to restore that sense of decorative presence without compromising modern infrastructural needs.
With Dedots we created a decorative ceiling surface that conceals all technical installations yet reads as a cohesive decorative layer. The dot panels are installed seamlessly with blind fixing, so nothing mechanical is exposed. While functional elements stay hidden, the decorative pattern remains visible and uninterrupted. In this way the ceiling regains ornamental quality without losing flexibility or maintainability.
Dedots is a modular dot-panel system where colored 3D “dots” are mounted on mesh panels in custom arrangements. It can be used on ceilings, walls, facades, partitions and more, with each square meter potentially unique. The system supports seamless installation, high durability and integration with building services. In the SHO project Dedots was used as a decorative ceiling screen that restores plaster elegance while hiding all the infrastructure behind it.
