Where function meets imagination

Challenge

Hospitality interiors often have ceilings that are purely functional and visually flat. They hide mechanical systems but never contribute to the mood or identity of the place. This means a large portion of visual real estate is wasted. When ceilings lack character, even striking ground-level design may feel incomplete.

Solution

By applying Lalace to the ceiling, the space gains a distinctive decorative layer. The mesh brings pattern and shadow play, giving the room height and texture. Technical elements are concealed but still accessible, while the ceiling becomes a key part of the overall experience. The ornamental ceiling now links past inspirations with present-day function.

Product

Lalace is a woven mesh ceiling and panel system that can be customized in pattern, scale and curvature. It balances strength, openness and visual richness. In this project it was used as a decorative overhead element that merges structure, aesthetics and acoustics in one.

Related projects

A huge carpet projected onto the ceiling invites you to the rooftop restaurant. The golden fabric also functions as a false ceiling behind which sprinklers, electrics, and ventilation systems are hidden. The transparency of the ceiling gives the illusion of a larger space. The pattern displays drops on a surface of water, it unifies the space, from the kitchen to the interior to the outside seating area.
