The restaurant Wagamama asked us to produce a unique roomdivider in collaboration with an artist. A fish swimming in the dining area shows the unique identity of the restaurant.

In restaurants, partitions are often utilitarian—plain walls or screens that don’t contribute to ambiance. They block sightlines and feel disconnected from the brand’s identity. As a result, interiors can feel static or generic rather than distinctive and alive.
With Lalace as the material, the divider becomes expressive and light. The fish motif brings motion and narrative into the space, connecting diners visually and emotionally. The mesh maintains transparency, preserving openness, while giving the interior a focal point that resonates with the restaurant’s identity.
Lalace is a woven mesh system adaptable for facades, ceilings, walls, gates, railings and interior dividers. It can be customized in pattern, scale, density and curvature to match design intent. In this project it is used as a decorative room divider with a fish motif, combining function and personality in one elegant piece.
