Problem

Office partitions and fences are usually designed with only function in mind. They often appear cold and technical, which can make a workplace feel impersonal. As a result they fail to support the atmosphere and identity of the space.

Solution

By applying Lalace these utilitarian elements are turned into expressive features. The mesh brings depth, creates subtle transitions between spaces and adds a human touch to the interior. What was once purely practical now becomes a key part of the overall design.

Product

Lalace is a woven mesh system that can be tailored in pattern, scale and shape. It offers strength and openness while introducing texture and ornament to surfaces. In this project it was used for walls, ceilings and dividers, giving the office both functionality and visual richness.

A huge carpet projected onto the ceiling invites you to the rooftop restaurant. The golden fabric also functions as a false ceiling behind which sprinklers, electrics, and ventilation systems are hidden. The transparency of the ceiling gives the illusion of a larger space. The pattern displays drops on a surface of water, it unifies the space, from the kitchen to the interior to the outside seating area.
