To architect asked us to create an interior ceiling with a crystal like cell pattern for a shopping center. The pattern refers to the crystal like shapes seen up close in snowflakes, a well known scenery in the Swedish area where the shopping mall is located.

Interior ceilings in large commercial spaces often end up invisible and purely functional — concealing structural, mechanical, or acoustic elements. They tend to lack visual interest and fail to enrich the spatial experience. This is a missed opportunity: ceilings can contribute significantly to identity, wayfinding, and occupant delight, but conventional solutions rarely tap into that potential.
Redfort transformed the ceiling into an architectural feature by applying a crystalline cell pattern. The design hides technical elements while adding light, texture, and a regional natural reference, making the ceiling both functional and visually striking.
