Because of the successful collaboration with the artist Paula Hart we created a unique artwork for the Woolworths Group in Perth, Australia. The artwork is fixed to a modularised framing system on the facades of a well-known grocery store.

Typical retail façades tend to be flat, brand-driven, and largely anonymous. They often miss the chance to resonate with local identity or community character. Without visual depth or storytelling, façades can blend into the background instead of contributing meaningfully to their context.
By embedding custom mesh artwork into the facade, the design becomes a bridge between commerce and culture. The patterns crafted with Paula Hart evoke natural forms and local narrative, while preserving functionality and legibility. The modular framing allows the artwork to be seamlessly integrated into the building skin.
Lalace is a woven mesh facade system customizable in pattern, density, scale and curvature. It combines transparency, structural capacity and decorative potential in one material system. In this project it was applied as an expressive facade screen over a modular frame to achieve a large graphic identity in collaboration with the architect and artist.
