Bicycles are synonymous with the Dutch experience. In daily life, thousands and thousands of bicycles travel from home to work or school, and even from city to city. Dutch people love to cycle and they all need a safe place to park their bicycles. This parking space can house 800 bicycles and is shaped like an apple. The complete skin of the apple is made of Lace Fence with the butterfly pattern creating a hive for butterflies and bikes.

Conventional bike shelters often prioritize function over form. They tend to be purely utilitarian, visually uninspiring, and fail to contribute to the surrounding architecture or public identity. As a result, large-scale bicycle parking can feel disconnected from the urban environment.
By applying Lalace, Redfort transformed a standard parking facility into an architectural statement. The material allowed the apple-shaped design to be wrapped in a durable yet decorative skin, turning the structure into both a secure shelter and a piece of public art that strengthens the visual character of the area.
