Large sized appartment buidling facade project. The concept for this housing project was a symbolic reference to a nest in a tree. In close collaboration with the architect we designed a pattern that gives the feeling you are looking through the canopy of leaves. People feel they are living in an artpiece and the audience is inspired by the unique character of the building. It becomes a recognizable landmark.

Apartment façades often default to repetitive panels or plain surfaces with little expressive value. Without a strong visual concept, buildings fail to become memorable or contextually rich. The lack of depth and pattern leaves façades feeling generic and uninspired.
By designing a custom Lalace pattern inspired by foliage, the façade gains texture, translucency, and visual dynamics. The mesh allows interplay of light and shadow, creating changing experiences over time. This approach transforms a static shell into a living surface that enhances presence and ambiance.
Lalace is a woven mesh façade system that can be customized in motif, density, scale, and curvature. It offers transparency, strength, and ornamental potential in a single material. In this project it was used as a patterned façade screen evoking a tree canopy, giving the building both identity and architectural depth.
