This pavilion, located in a rural coastal area, was designed as a retreat featuring a personalised reinterpretation of traditional heritage patterns. The result is a space that blends cultural identity with a serene natural setting.

Heritage motifs are often treated as flat decoration. They rarely make the step into architecture, which means their cultural value is not always felt in the spaces where people gather.
With Lalace the pattern is no longer just surface. It wraps around walls and screens, creating depth through light and shadow. This makes the pavilion a space that feels both authentic and contemporary.
