The project includes 97 apartments for singles, families and seniors, an underground car park, office units, a courtyard with community gardening and a dialogue center. The aim of the client was the creation of high-quality living space using the existing building to promote solidarity between young and old and support.

The new residential complex was large and multi-functional, risking a cold or impersonal atmosphere. The developers wanted to avoid that by introducing design elements that create warmth and cohesion. They needed façade and courtyard screens that could provide safety (for example, around the courtyard or ramps to the garage) while also serving as artful features encouraging residents to mingle and take pride in their home environment.
Redfort provided Lalace decorative screens used as railing panels around balconies, rooftop community areas, and the internal courtyard. The design team worked on a pattern that appears playful and welcoming, think abstract blooms or supportive hands, subtle motifs that symbolize community. These screens also mask utilities like parking garage openings without fully hiding them (maintaining ventilation). By using the same pattern across different parts of the complex, the design visually unifies the apartments, gardens, and walkways, reinforcing a sense of a single community space.
The installed product includes laser-cut metal panels in strategic locations: along open corridors, as half-wall toppers in the courtyard, and as ventilated cladding for the garage facade. Painted a warm color, they stand out against the building’s concrete and brick, adding visual softness. Residents experience these screens daily – as balcony railings or as the backdrop to community planters – subtly reminding them of the project’s community-first vision. With Redfort’s facade integrations, the complex gained both functional safety features and a unique aesthetic that supports the client’s solidarity concept.
