Problem

Lobby areas often serve as first impressions but are plagued by visible infrastructure—lighting, HVAC, ducts—that clutter the experience. Façades above entrances tend to be separate layers with little visual cohesion to the interior. In many cases, there is a disjoint between interior design and exterior presence, weakening overall identity.

Solution

Using Dedots we knit together ceiling and façade into one unified decorative system. The dot graphics flow across surfaces, concealing installations and creating a continuous visual narrative. The seamless transitions enhance spatial coherence from bar to entrance. In doing so, the piece elevates both aesthetics and brand storytelling.

Product

Dedots is a 3D dot-panel mesh system where colored dots are mounted on mesh panels in fully custom patterns. It supports seamless installation, durability, UV stability and structural performance. In this project it was applied across ceiling and façade surfaces to deliver one integrated image that merges sculpture, architecture and narrative.

For the lobby of the 5-star SiR Victor hotel in Barcelona we produced 265.000 copper Dots on welded mesh panels. By means of the special Dedots mounting clips the panels connect seamlessly to each other, creating an infinite surface of Dots. The Dots have the required fire class, improve the acoustics and conceal the installations behind.

Ceiling

A huge carpet projected onto the ceiling invites you to the rooftop restaurant. The golden fabric also functions as a false ceiling behind which sprinklers, electrics, and ventilation systems are hidden. The transparency of the ceiling gives the illusion of a larger space. The pattern displays drops on a surface of water, it unifies the space, from the kitchen to the interior to the outside seating area.
