For the lobby of the 5-star SiR Victor hotel in Barcelona we produced 265.000 copper Dots on welded mesh panels. By means of the special Dedots mounting clips the panels connect seamlessly to each other, creating an infinite surface of Dots. The Dots have the required fire class, improve the acoustics and conceal the installations behind.

Problem

Hotel interiors demand both elegance and utility, but often ceilings and walls become bland, with visible infrastructure that detracts from the atmosphere. Large expanses without visual interest lose the opportunity to contribute to the guest experience. Moreover, fire safety, acoustics and maintenance demands often override design, making expressive surfaces difficult to implement.

Solution

Dedots provides a way to turn entire surfaces into decorative mesh without exposing mechanics. The panels are fire-rated, improve acoustic performance, and hide lighting, ventilation and cables behind them. The copper dots create a warm color and refined texture that elevates the space. The seamless installation ensures it reads as one continuous artwork rather than separate pieces.

Product

Dedots is a modular dot-panel system where thousands of colored 3D “dots” are affixed to mesh panels and joined via hidden clips. The system is engineered to meet fire, acoustic and structural standards while maintaining aesthetic flexibility. In this project it was used to wrap large ceiling and wall surfaces in the lobby with copper dots, achieving a fully integrated decorative surface that serves both function and visual impact.
