A dual-purpose property – half creative studio, half private home – required a perimeter fence and gate that provided privacy from the street and security after hours. The owner, a fashion designer for children’s clothing, wanted the enclosure to reflect playfulness and creativity rather than feeling like a barricade. The challenge was to deliver a secure fencing solution that was also visually appealing and on-brand.
Redfort employed its Lalace decorative metal panels for the fence and a matching custom gate. The design team worked with the client to choose a pattern that echoes lace or fabric—befitting a fashion company—while still offering the needed privacy screening. The resulting enclosure features whimsical motifs laser-cut into the metal, which subtly tie into children’s themes (like abstract shapes reminiscent of doodles or textiles). The layout of the fence integrates both the commercial entrance and the home entrance, uniting them stylistically.
The installed enclosure is a continuous Lalace fence around the garden, paired with a large swinging gate at the driveway. Constructed from durable steel with a child-friendly smooth finish, it provides security without sharp edges. The pattern allows glimpses of landscaping through the fence, maintaining a friendly face to the neighborhood. By day, the decorative fence invites curiosity; by night, it secures the property. Redfort’s product successfully turns a practical fence into a brand statement for the client’s home and studio.
