Mixed-use buildings often struggle to unify very different functions (social, work, living) under a coherent architectural language. The envelope can end up fragmented or inconsistent, which weakens the sense of unity. Technical demands (like enclosure, privacy, safety) tend to dominate over character. As a result, different zones can feel disconnected rather than part of the same whole.
By applying Lalace across enclosures and façade zones, the design weaves a visual thread between the child center, offices and living units. The mesh lets the building breathe while still giving definition and protection. It helps unify the modular components into a consistent aesthetic. At the same time, it supports functional requirements without sacrificing design quality.
Lalace is a woven mesh enclosure and façade system that can be customized in pattern, scale, density and curvature. It balances structural performance with visual transparency. In this project it was used to wrap enclosure elements and façade faces, giving the pavilion a cohesive, expressive skin that works across its different programmatic layers.
