Entrance gates are often purely functional and visually uninspiring. They tend to feel heavy, closed and disconnected from the building’s character. This creates a missed opportunity to express identity right at the point of arrival. Without design quality, the first impression can feel rigid or uninviting.
With Lalace the gate becomes more than a barrier. The woven pattern introduces transparency, rhythm and storytelling inspired by heritage lace. Visitors get a sense of openness while safety and separation are still ensured. The design transforms the entrance into a memorable and engaging feature.
Lalace is a woven mesh system suitable for facades, gates, railings and ceilings. It can be produced with custom patterns, scales and shapes to match context and function. In this project it was used as a decorative gate, combining strength with artistic expression to create an entrance that embodies both security and identity.
