The project required a way to communicate complex scientific concepts to a broad audience while enhancing the appearance of a large perimeter fence. The solution needed to be visually impactful, durable and accessible to the public.
Using a custom dot-based pattern inspired by genetic sequencing, the fence was transformed into a large-scale public artwork. The design translates scientific data into an engaging visual language that creates curiosity and interaction within the public space.
Dedots is a modular facade and screening system that uses individually mounted dots to create custom patterns, images and graphics. Manufactured from recycled plastic, the system offers a durable and sustainable solution for architectural screens, public art installations and building facades.
