For a German client we designed a colorful balustrade for the stairwell. The sightly color gradient from orange to yellow is executed in two densities. 100% density of the rear parts and 40% density of the front parts. The transparency of the front parts ensures the subtle interaction of the colors with their surroundings.

Where function meets imagination

Challenge

A German client needed a balustrade that added identity and color to a stairwell while remaining safe, durable and visually balanced. The challenge was to create a gradient effect that felt vibrant without overwhelming the space.

Solution

Redfort designed a custom balustrade with a subtle shift from orange to yellow, applied in two densities. The rear panels were produced at 100% density for full color impact, while the front panels were created at 40% density to introduce transparency and depth.

Product

The result is a colorful, layered balustrade with a smooth gradient that interacts gently with light and its surroundings. The transparent front panels create a refined visual mix, turning the stairwell into a dynamic and uplifting architectural element.
