Mixed-use residential complexes must satisfy various user groups (families, seniors, children), making it hard to design elements that feel equally welcoming and secure. Balconies and gates often end up as cold, generic components that don’t resonate emotionally with occupants. This can weaken the sense of belonging and continuity across the different functions.
Using Lalace, the balconies and gates become more than structural or safety elements—they become design anchors. The mesh brings translucency, visual connection and a human scale to the various façades. At the same time it maintains strength and security. The outcome is a cohesive design language that ties all parts of the building together and helps evoke a feeling of home.
Lalace is a woven mesh system suited for balconies, gates, facades, ceilings, railings and more. It can be customized in pattern, density, scale and curvature to match architectural intent. In this project it’s used for balcony railings and entrance gates to unite aesthetics and function, bringing character, openness and identity to the building.
